I would go for 7's if you boosting a lot. Otherwise 6 is best overall for us. |
my question is why it is tuners on this forum tend to rate ngk over denso when it comes to iridiums. from all reports denso iridiums are the leading spark plugs on the market so why anytime i hear spark plugs first thing men is shout is ngk 6 or 7
if you look at it, denso makes most of the stuff you find under the hood of a toyota vehicle and if you note the trd iridiums are basically the same as the denso down to the 0.4mm centre elctrode as appose to the 0.7mm that ngk had also the heat rating trd uses are the same as the densos, and i know most men here would rock trd plugs in there engine so why not denso.
i just curious
btw take a look at this

Not necessarily. Yes Denso makes a lot of OEM parts for toyota but that does not mean they are necessarily the best. Remember, factory tuned and outfitted cars are just standard....from the time you get performance oriented, OEM (for most things) has no place again. Was the advertising of Denso Iridiums as "the best" done by an independent company, based on testing, research and comparison? Most of the times, it just a manufacturer pipsing their product as marketing would demand.
For instance, I run the NGK copper plugs which are rated for my engine (heat range 7) and I can't complain about the performance....as a matter of fact, I had NGK Iridiums before and those worked well to but nothing beats a pure copper electrode for boost!
NGK is a renowned replacement and even performance part replacement for many OEM toyota parts, esp. ignition components. Plus they are very affordable when compared to OEM (just go into TTTL and see for yourself). |

In a 1997 Paseo/Tercel workshop manual i found this in the new features listing.............
A fuel returnless system has been adopted to prevent the internal temperature of the fuel tank from rising and to reduce evaporative emission.
I am currently suffering these effects gas boiling out of the tank faster than i can use it. What can i do to fix this?
Blanking the retun like what zryfle said? Will this damage anything? |

And people don't believe me when I say I get better performance from copper.
They just don't last as long. |

Ditto Strauss........men watch the plugs I have and tell me in my face that its not copper. Just because the jack@sses didn't see a copper-coloured electrode. |

g unit, as Zeriam said any parts place will have the filters, jus ask for the toyota screw type filter.....i changed mine to the generic high pressure filter, its cheaper and easier to get, i had to cut off the fittin from the fuel line tho, small thing...
the oil filter i used was Fram PH4967 with 3.5Qts of pennzoil 10W-30
i still not sure what plug to use, currently the engine came with some NGK BKR-5
but i wanna change that for some Denso IK16 |
