|
|
So, you all know the football fantasy league - well I starting a SoloDex fantasy league. Since I creating this league, I get to make the rules
1) All times are average across the four runs (or as many non-DNF runs as you had) for a final time which ranks you for the day.
2) You are thrown into a class based on one second spreads from the top time of day. So if TTOD is 50 secs, then EP is 50-51 Secs.
Next class is a 1 second spread from the next best time after EP. So if next best is 55 secs, then SS is 55-56 secs. Capiche?
I hope that linky works. http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pI29WDCn_lrnYawoqcZnaHw&hl=en
OK, so I am a nerd, so what?
Some egos may get bruised using averages of the times. Hard luck.

This is an interesting spin.
Well I see for me fantacy is no different from actuality (HS right through) but Bill, you have me fighting up in a class with a Turbo Cyborg and a BMW?!....
Interestingly enough, Reyos has progressed to ES.......sign of things to come next year?
Bill, since yuh start it, do the results for Dex 4 nah!..... |

As soon as I can find them. I think they are buried deep within some thread and I eh able to go looking.
You may be mixed with those cars, but look - you are second, and not by much fro 1st. This fantasy scoring seems to rank car + driver in a class, not just car. It also takes away the "one lucky run" syndrome and rewards consistency.
You are also dynamically classed in each Dex based on your performance on the day. So class bumping takes care of itself. So ALL mods are free to fit our low governance style. One day you in ES, next day you running in EP because all the usual EP guys spin out or something
Also, the most you can be out of class is 1 sec, which with driver improvement or maxing out class allowed mods, could be made up over a season. |

OK, updated with sd 3,4 and championship.
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pI29WDCn_lrnGV5EXVK5HMw&hl=en
Championship needs normalisation to account for different length courses.
Normalisation from TTOD can be done - Ray?
championship rules:
You must make at least 4 events to have your average calculated.
Running championship - you must make the number of events as data is recorded for. So only SD3 and 4 recorded so far, so only ppl in both 3 & 4 in championship. |

Bill, here's dex 2 results:
 | | Click for full-size. |
Dex 1 results:
Do the championship standings for the four events, this is very insightful.
I am sure when you are finished, it would appear that I've only been lucky so far with the lucky run. Even though i've had 3 victories for the year, Reyos is by far the more consistent driver. Things would be different in HS if averages were used. |

So basically it's fastest time of the day but incorporating average times and 1 second classes off the top time of each? I like it...
It's actually accurate considering my last dyno run which was 150-something down from 186whp, which would technically place me in ESP by PWR classification but I choose to remain in SS (Competition is too quick in ESP lol)
Weight: 2625 lb (wikipedia)
PWR @ 186hp = 14.1
PWR @ 154hp = 17.0
ESP: 15-21.9 , SS: 11.5-14.9 (carstt.com) |

the PWR in the classification sheet used by CARS is the bhp not the whp. Also I believe they add on 150lbs for the driver (even tho some of us weigh more than that ) |

then why were cars last classed by weighing vehicles minus the driver, and dynoing the vehicles? |

SD1 - 4 updated. No championship results yet. Need to figure out how to normalise all the times so the average times for each dex can be averaged for a championship position. Mathematicians welcomed.
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pI29WDCn_lrk_LWqW697_Rw&hl=en
And I have to fix SD4 - left out ESP class, so lots of not qualified
Fixed. |

| OK, then I have some fixing to do since I added in the penalties to everyone. So things should look better for some when I get round to it. |

It would be nice to just get the scores electronically so I doh have to sit down and transcribe them.
If there are DNF times there, why is the run not marked as DNF? We need to be accurate in what is published, no? |
