Hey can anyone recommend a program to design a slot port box. I accostomed to building with pvc circular port. Hear slot port better. Question

use winISD.. under the "vents" tab, click on "shape" (icon) to change the circular port to a square port.. then you can change the dimensions of the port to suit..

imo, PVC ports are better because of the ease to retune the box when needed.. just make sure and use enough port area to prevent any port noise...

u can do it ur self...just from basic shape calcs.
if the surface area of the circle PVC is 12inch^2 then for a rectangle it would be 12x1=12inch^2.

Just rearrange the numbers to get the desired size rectangle.

It helps to know how to do it to ensure that there are no errors in the program calcs.

yes it does, because it tries to flatten the bass response as much as possible
