|
|
I'm not totally pleased with the replacement brake pads fitted on my 2007 SGV by Lifestyle. I understand their an OEM product, but I would like to go with a slightly better pad. The replacement pads are probably due for changing again (the wear pin is scraping on the disc).
I've used EBC in the past coupled with Goodridge SS braided lines in the past am thinking of going with the same on the van. I'm almost at 82,000kms and have had the van for just over 2 years, so I'm not to concerned with LM's warranty anymore.
What do you guys think? |

stay far from EBC green stuff pads sgv stock rotors .......
the oem sgv pads have been compared to be as good if not better than EBC oem replacement pads.
you should have a few less abrasive options out of the states unlike the rest of us |

well no... i disagree... the rubber lines have become quite pliable by now... and SS lines would significantly improve the pedal feel |

I swear by the Goodridge lines I use on the Suby........and for certain applications, they make a noticeable difference regardless of mileage, as some cars just have a tendency to have that squishy pedal feel. The thing is, that as the OP rightly said, the SS lines will only improve the feel of the brake pedal, under medium to heavy use/pedal pressure. If you find that the SGV just isn't stopping as you want, then SS lines won't help you.
ALso, beware when choosing different brakepad compounds...some will eat your rotors faster. Also, it's never a bad idea to do a light skim on the rotor when changing compounds.......but of course, you don't always need to do that either. |

| had a small fender bender this morning... nothing major... but will definitely be a set back for any upgrades SS Line wise... and may just go back with the OEM pads based on Ignis's advice. |
