UPDATE: Bashir passed away at around 2:30pm on Thursday Apr 10, 2008, he has gone to the racetrack in heaven.

Say a prayer for Bashir Kajim

Bashir has been a Motor Sport stalwart for more than 25 years, participating in Rallying, Circuit and Drag Racing. He has also served on the Management Committees of the TTRC and Auto Sport and the Red Cross – Southern Branch.

He suffered a massive stroke last Wednesday night and has been in a coma at the ICU of the San Fernando General Hospital since then.

We are asking all to keep in your thoughts and say a prayer for him and his family in these trying times.

Sorry to hear this..I will pray for him and the family..I do hope he has a speedy recovery and gets back home to be with his family.

Update from the family today is that his position remains unchanged, so let us all hope and pray for his full recovery.

He was most present at RT08 on the weekend of 28th - 30th March assisting in marshalling, and with his three kids.

So sorry to hear this, Bashir and his son was hanging out with me and my family on the stage for RT08.

I Hope he makes a full recovery to carry on a healty full life...
