it was always a bad choice for real..active airfield..obviously briko would not be please to have to share it with others..worse yet when men start to lay down track bite etc. wouldn't have pleased them, did the initial agreements list the conditions?
look like it's going back to square 1. |

TTASA ,ALL OTHER PROMOTERS HAVE BROKEN THE REQIUREMENTS FOR USE OF THE TRACK.AND NOW THAT A A NEW COMPANY WHOM I FELT IS SET TO BE DIFFERENT FROM THE REST, HAS TO BEAR THE BRUNT OF ALL THIS BACHANNAL .I BELIEVE THAT THIS WAS INITIALLY PLANNED AGAINST S2 MOTORSPORTS.BECAUSE GATHERING FROM THEIR MEETINGS THEY WERE SET ON DOING THINGS THE RIGHT WAY AND INVOLVING THE DRIVERS IN EVERY ASPECT OF HOSTING THE EVENT.IT'S A VERY SAD DAY FOR ALL OF US TO KNOW THAT 40 PLUS YEARS HAVE GONE BY AND WHAT HAVE WE ESTABLISHED FOR MOTOR SPORT RACING IN TRINIDAD& TOBAGO.
NO MATTER WHAT ASSOCIATION OR BODY IS FORMED OTHERWISE EVERYONE IS IN TO FILL HIS/HER POCKETS.
SO S2 WE AWAIT YOUR EVENT IN TIME TO COME. |

slowly goes and puts the cover back over the car while tears are falling.
Hopefully these problems will be rectified soon so I can throw the car on the boat to come down to race. |

^ Actually, only last night Mervyn and I was talking and I told him that I will now have to break the bad news to you .... so we now have to play the waiting game ....
Who knows, we might just have to bring up the Trini cars to Grenada and throw the event there .... seeing that the Antiguan Cars might be there too ... |

I think it is obvious now that Camden may have been a bad choice first to begin with.
|
Also, I only learnt last night from Dr Baboolal's speech that TTASA's approach to BRIKO to aquire Camden was based on getting the Street Racers off the Street and hence ONLY street cars (12secs & Slower) were supposed to race on the Track based on the conditions outlined by BRIKO ..... No Trackbite, 1000ft from fuel tank etc etc .....
Question:-
1) If that was the case, how come they (TTASA) allowed Rails and other Cars running under 12secs at the First Event that they (TTASA) held ?
2) How could you approach to get a facility and agree that only Street Cars will be racing .... What happen to the guys running under 12secs .... They are not racers too ? ..... Havent they not spend thousands of dollars on their race-cars ?

And what is the consistent factor?
|
.... and I close with this ............. |

it really was a SAD moment, for drivers & the promoter, when it was announced that S2 Motorsports Promotions LTD has to cancel their event because of the damn chupidness that previous bodies & promoters did not adher to. wat make it 'worsera' was when we saw the prizes we could have won. they did not even have to bribe us with cheap champagne.
i wonder if anyone noticed that 'the doc' did not answer some of our questions directly, but avoided them...hmmmmm.......i wonder why?? big brief case full of 'documents' that he start tuh pull out...and no answers for us.
S2, allyuh had and will continue to have our suppport no matter the unfortunate consequences you have been placed under. BTW, de 2 chicks serving the yummy pastries, on like ah boil corn sah!!! tell meh if ah lie dey?? |

And what about the second event, and the third event and the fourth event, wait was there a fourth event? Seems as usual that somebody didn read the rules, and it was a free for all ?? |

Certain conditions of use were originally spelt out, and agreed to.
Were these breached? Were the parties so advised? And now another crisis is created with another loss of opportunity. And what is the consistent factor? |
exactly..
if all this was agreed to beforehand then Briko is not wrong at all |

and do what! Let the cars under 12secs. run on the streets...that not making no sense at all...TTASA did make the best decision possible at the time. You just cannot give a track to get street racers of the street and not let high powered cars(under 12secs) run on it. They all share the same prospective. |

| ^^ This was also one of the perks that attracted the promoters in the first place (which was what was needed to have racing almost every month even more) Private input was needed. Can you imaging how much people you would get to the races if only 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, & 20 sec cars were carded to run. For sure you could not entice no foreign competitors for that. we are now depending on TTUMRA people to deliver, and they have my support for sure. |

im not sure i follow you....you do realize that since the opening of Camden..street racing has decreased?...or trather...let me qualify that.....we have seen the MOST amount of "street racing" entrants at Camden?....cud it be location? (shrugs).....but there is a formula to get Street racing down to a minimum.....yall just need to see it...
that....and once you invole Frankie Boodram inANY thing motorsport related, be prepared for disaster.....thing is there isnt anyone in TTASA to stop him now..... |

Let me state something here. When we were moved to the South track, we tried our best to fix and satisfy everyone. Then there were complaints about the bush on the North side of the track, and we cut it, and the security promptly moved in and said we cannot cut any of the bush or the trees.
So we went to Eteck, made a case, and were advised to just cut what was affecting the track. Then we looked at getting the patrons across to the track from the car park area. So we went back to Eteck and asked about cutting 3 tracks through the bush, to facilitate this.
And the response - no problem! And we had other issues and they were all amicably addressed and resolved without any battles with Eteck, in fact they were very comfortable with the way we addressed and responded to any issues that arose.
Now go back and look at that list of concerns from Briko, and you will see why we are where we are today. I understand that Shamo tried to have his own dialog with Briko and they brushed him off and sent him back to Doc. Kinda late for reasonable dialog, or the people just fed-up ?
This is no joke – when Briko first complained about the dangers of the concrete barriers, should a plane land and for any reason drifts off to the left or the right of the track and heads for the grassy area, this could be deadly. So the counter suggestion was – Oh, the standing barriers is a problem, Ok we will put them to lie down! |

I NEVER saw Rawle Mahabir at any of these nor was his name mentioned for any.........
