I had the same concern but as was explained the drivers decided. Maybe when the meet is finalized the drivers may have a change of heart. The line-up was pretty impressive and would not have been an event to miss (I would of missed it because of the ruling). I hope S2 would re-group and continue to work towards their meet, solve logistics problems an thing, stay in contact with all the drivers (local and foreign) so when their day come it would be something. As told to you before, you would have only harmed yourself by doing this ... you would have been close to where your kids are, the only difference is that they would not be walking around in the Pit Area or close to any of the Race Vehicles .....

This will definitely happen once we get the Track to use as it was being used for the past events ! |

I know it is easy for people to get dis-couraged as I know you guys probably already put in some time and effort for the event, not to mention money lost etc. But you know the saying "every dog has its day". |

Well if you was present at the 2 previous Drivers meeting, you would not make a silly statement like that .... This was discussed in detail amongst other things with the DRIVERS making this conclusion ... it was not S2 alone in the decision making process !
There was going to be 2 Bleachers just outside of the Pit Area to accomodate the Children and Wives of the Drivers ...... Trust this is okay ! |

I suggest a proposal (with all necessary logistics) be posted in the media or directed to the business community with respect to a Drag Racing and/or Full Racing Track with location in mind ...everything....and let one of Trinidad's wealthy business finance it.....it would belong to him/her and then he/she could rent it to whomever wants to throw an event.......Through the grapevine I heard that there a such people who are willing to make that investment.
And Southside Crew...although he did make good points in the meeting, we ar not living in "la-la land" here......there's way too much back-stabbing and greed present ...so I suggest one person own the track and everybody rent it to use it

what u want there is GREAT! there are SO many wealthy people in trinidad and ABSOUTELY NO 1 is going to do it. NOT even those(VERY WEALTHY ONES) directly involved in OUR sport. every body willing BUT, BUT,BUT? and "LA-LA" well is those CRABS in the bucket that want to pull down those that tryin to get out is d problem.
i say is better we ALL try together rather than we fail to try. It's been 40+years the goverance has gone on an wats there to show NOTHING. Other peeps seeking their interest only. I will initaite the process and the results i am sure can ONLY be positive in more than one way to the pleasure of ALL. |
