you could get the Skoda Octavia, with the same 2.0FSI engine for $215K VAT INC. and the FSI engine, is a great engine, they getting great reviews. so i wont say its sheit.

2.0 FSI in 1K chassis Jetta is not a motorway stormer but a more flexable motor than a 1.6 N/A engine. In some countries the insurance is much more lower with this engine but you can still have the options of say a TSI/ TFSI model as std.

I initially bought my car with a 1.6L and later did an engine swap to a 1.8T as it was said before it makes no sense trying to mod the 1.6 it's a waste of time and only European market knows the 1.6. The 1.8T in any market is the engine of choice.

This is my baby, she is down now for a clutch up grade and possibly a APR ecu remap. Currently she is sporting:
Forge Motorsport 007P DV,
Stock Intake Manifold (Hand polished for 15+hrs
NewSouth Performance 1.8T Plus gasket
Bilstien Touring Class struts
H&R lowering springs
Spec stage 1 clutch kit w/ Eurospec lightened G60 flywheel
K&N drop in panel filter
+ more...

^^^^^ U sure APR software can work? what motor do u have ...i have the AGU and i'm going to install an ATP eliminator Kit however, software is my main downside right now....Most of the software companies in the states dont offer tuning upgrades for my AGU motor which means i have to source from europe which i'm trying to avoid
