I have a NZE corolla local 2004 and is maintained to the max, genuine toyota parts serviced by myself, using full synthetic mobil 1 oil and change at 5000km.

About 3 years Laughing Seriously though, a well maintained/serviced CVT tranny can be quite reliable. We have a Civic, granted it's a 2000 model, but there have been no problems and we've put 80000Km's on it.
