I believe you can accomplish dual 12" ported in LESS than double the space requirements of that one you currently have but more than you are currently using... perhaps the box may protrude into the wider gap of the trunk.... a sacrifice you must be willing to make if you want to add another sub.

As someone also mentioned, wedge boxes can help preserve valuable trunk space and I would recommend it to you if going 2-12.
