I changed the cradle arms, but the problem was still there. I was told that it is a maunfacturers defect and there is nothing you can do bout it. I have the same problem with my wagon and sedan corolla. The thing is that it is not prevelant in all NZE corollas. If you do find something post it plz.

The suspension is a set of components that each have a purpose, as long as you know how they all work together you can troubleshoot a problem.

You problem may be due to bad:

Strut mount location on chassis
Damper housing
Sway bar
Sway bar end links
ball joints
Inner/outer tie rods

And the list goes on.....

best advice i can give you is put it on a lift and start rocking all the parts until you hear the noise
look specifically for any squished bushings
