You need something that fully operates in the MUTIII protocol, OBD II is not going to cut it. |

ok well i not to long came bak from there, I walked with my mechanic and tried the scanner which said that the transmission fluid pressure is low, by which we started and reversed and drove fwd a couple times only to notice that their is an actual slippage of the gear from the transmission which is probably why the car not gettin any power to move but it rollin otherwise, so really no ecu failure whatsoever. But the straightener gettin another person to check it to confirm that it is the transmision now, so I awaiting the response from them.
On another note now, we checked the transmission fluid which smelt kinda burnt and might have the filings from the clutch, wey hopin it not dat bad, we was lookin to drain the oil but the straightener say wait on he response from the guy. So will keep u all updated when ah find out... |

You need the new Mitsu J1 CVT fluid if you changing
Ramai's in Vistabella has it
Seems like previous owner did inflict some pain and hurt
She can come back from that
If tranny goin into fail safe limp mode, then the electronics taking over and saving the mechanical parts as they designed to - this is good
Check TCU as well |

Once the condition that triggered the sensors no longer exists, then YES
may need some manual intervention to clear the code in the ECU though
If the fluid worn, you can get low pressures, thus explaining the error code that yoi received
If I were you, seeeing that the car got some stress, I would do a full flush of tjat tranny, once it back on the road |

PCH plates and it already repossessed..and with all de damage dat car sound like it have? larrrrdddd.
When i went DM for my car servicing under warranty, i NEVER paid for any part replacement besides brake pads.
As some ppl said before, go to Consumer Affairs with all your documented visits, reciepts of maintaince..etc. If u bought the car from DM, no matter who was the previous owner, they have a DUTY OF CARE to the consumer to sell a car that is functional. You, as a consumer, is not expected to be held liable (unless you signed something contray to this).
Consumer Affairs are very efficient with respect to complaints like this.
hope u get thru. |

acmilan11, how you really got this vehicle ?
Did you purchase it from someone or from DM only to find out later it was repoessed ?
If it was purchased from someone (although purchasing a brand new PCH vehicle from someone does raise questons ) and DM say the vehicle was not maintained according to their records or electronics was tampered with (which will void warranty ) then you will have to stand the cost by yourself and DM vampires will buss price on you.
With respect to servicing if any thay can easily delete those records from their database just to avoid honouring the warranty terms since you cant seem to get in touchg with the previous owner.
If it was a used vehicle from DM they should have informed you (but they dont have to unless you ask ) about the vehicle history and warranty. Then the descision is yours.
The best thing is to get the vehicle scanned , I sure it have tuners hear who does do this like Mr Anil and from the results you can make your next move.
Keep us posted and god luck.
My alignment mechanic told me he also experienced a problem with one of these 2.0L new lancers, the car could not go up the ramp like the engine had no power, and when it eventually got up and time to move it could not reverse. Only after removing the battery for about 1 hour then the car worked normally.
Next year I am considering upgrading my CS3 to one of these but is having second taughts, everyone I talk to have no issues with the 1.5L but I am getting a few bad remarks about the 2.0L.
I may consider a mazda 6 istead. |

ok fellars some progression taking place as the straigtener gey bak the solenoids to open and the car gettin power now...but the only thing is it not goin into 4th gear well overdrive and the paddle shifters not workin...he feel that parts missin for dat to work..but for now it workin a huge weight removed from meh shoulder.
So the straightener say give 2 wks let him get the car bak to tip top shape and then dig up again to resolve the other problem.. |

. It dose it recommend automatically. You have to adjust it yourself. You have to hold down the "info" button to reset it.
It's just a reminder, just like if you set one on your pc or cell phone. |
