Alright...... simply i have a problem.....when the a/c is on and i mash down the car makes a strange noise. that noise sounds like the belts squealing. wen dis is happening the car feels like it sticking in gear....like if the belts or gear stops spining...well it feels so..i does lift my foot of the gas wen it happens and it stops.... i mash down wen in park but doesnt get that kind of response.... so wat is happening????

check the tension on your accessory belts (A/C, P/S, alternator etc)

had this similar problem
was faulty belts
i suggest changing out all ur belts esp the timing belt if ur engine is belt drive
it may not be the faulty belt but better safer than sorry i almost mash up my engine due to timing belt burst
it was other faulty belt but it cause extra stress on timing belt

but the wierd ting is that i changed all belts except timing belt las year and got the tension re-checked afterwards also.....hmmmmm....but as turboboy told me in d post in mitusbishi that it can be the compressor going bad or the compressor pully bearing going bad...take a read of wat he said fellas and see if u agree...i kinda goin with wat he sugessting...!!!!!!

is it a really loud squealing sound??
did u check to see if the a/c belt is moving?
an when u mash the sound will go away???

4.wen i mash is wen d sound happens if i let go d gas it will stop, but doesnt happen all all d time so...like wen it ready!!!!

wat that guy said iz correct.....a part in the compressor has gone bad....find out the cost to rebuild/bamboo for nex comp.

you can also check on the crankshaft pulley,some carry a buffer built in the pulley for vibration dampning,if it is bad it also makes a squeaking sound.
