hey ppl recently got a roro almera looked at the power steering fluid and it loked darkish brown, I hav a local one already so i checked that one to see if the fluid was the same colour and it was, was wondering the oem ps fluid that comes with the car is it really darkish brown or do both cars need to change fluid
read the post with the changing of the ps fluid so im prob gonna change it if that is not the colour it supposed to be |

| yes they do come in darkish Red colour, like tranny fliud.....however the Castrol P/S fluid has colour like engine oil |

| If in doubt change it. That fluid is the same as the tranny fluid. Dextron 3 Mercon will do the trick. You should change ALL of your fluids when you get a RORO. |

thanks for the info in the process of changing the fluids now
dragsta thas prob why the fluid in my local almera looks like that cause massy uses castrol products |

nope....not always....some use PS fluid and some use tranny fluid....ALWAYS follow the manfacturer's specifications unless you looking at a modified system |

combine the two? u mean mix PS fluid and tranny fluid? WTF????
dude, whatever it says on the cap or in the owner's manual, just follow that...  |

he probably meant that in this case as its an almera its the same Dexron 3 in both tranny and PS. |

Yes, for all QG engine series the correct fluid is Dextron 3 mercon, which is same as the tranny fluid. Says so in the manual. Don't know about other cars, was being specific to this post. Kendall is D bess. You could get it by federal on cipero street (and for your transmission too ) |

Unless it is CVT of course....then the transmission should only use the correct CVT fluid.
The power steering fluid will still be the Dextron3 for all QG engines. |
