Why do they overate their amps wen or if they know its tru?...

how are they rated?

At what freq and what voltage? We dont know this readily, a PA mono might just well produce rated at 21khz @ 19volts for all we know but thats unusable power or more so unrealistic to produce..The amp produces the power but its unusable..

I dont think such large companies like PA etc would risk a lawsuit like this for fraud against consumers..And in anycase, you get what you pay for-FACT.

OK, I hear you but, I think it has been established that PA usually makes crap and somehow managed to produce the A3000db.

arent the amps rated at 1khz? they will put out far less power at the lower frequencies.
when they say x amount of watts they mean it will be put out at x amount of hz @ x amount of volts.

compare the rating of a pa amp to that of a jbl, the jbl is rated at 12.5 volts & at the full range of frequencies.

The PA company rate their amps on a full moon friday at exactly 1pm @ 18.672 volts with a sine wave at 1khz !
If you could recreate that then you'll have ur 3000 watts Laughing

So why bash PA only? Other manufacturers do the same thing as well. PA is a economical brand. As was said before, you get what you pay for...

I have used this brand and although you don't get the rated rms, it alright for a small system and good for the price IMO.

By the way, I got my PA 1600/4 BAMF for $780 brand new (the model that looks like an RF). Laughing
