yes 2nrs of the ice forum i have an Elevation audio SQX 12'' D4 woofer. i have for a few months now but never got to put it under much power yet.

its in a ported box tuned to 35hz built by soundstream626. When the sub was given a little test he realised one of the pigtails were loose and had to soldered it.

it was played on my house stereo getting about 60-100rms @ 2ohms. Even with this little power the lows coming from the woofer was sweet. But i still dont have an idea what the sub is capable of.

Any 2nrs out there that have had experience or know about these woofers. How does it handle power...i would like to get any reviews i can possibly get from u all. I plan i buyin an amp for it very soon...i'l be buying it in the states..by budget is about 350-400 US dollars

looking for about 1200 rms @ 2 ohms...or what do u recommend u think can go well wiht this sub. the amp can be 1 ohm stable.

what ya'll think?

it can handle 1200wrms daily, given u have the following-
proper box and port
clean unclipped power
proper crossing matching the box design

my experience is that the sub plays very well in the lower 30's with the higher response good up to 60hz(bandpassed as i had it)it can get very loud, and still mentain a good lower frequency response, the response is also decently smooth.the build overall is good, well set joints, good coil design and great cone area.

overall, it's a very good su if you know how to use it

Very Happy Very Happy

this vesrion of the sqx has a problem with the pig tail wires

tested this sub for elevation audio a couple years ago and sent the pics with the problem
they were suppose to have fixed the problem with the next version released

not a fault per say but the pig tail wires were a bit too short for the excursion of the subwoofer

the newer model was suppsoe to have the pigtail woven into the spyder

here is a pic of what the sub looks like now with the woven pigtails in the spyder

this has been out for about 2 years now

i suggest repalcing the pigtail on the older model sqz sub with a 1/4" longer as even tho you re solder under regular playing its going to work itself loose and break

yeah ....we had it on a 3000D power C ,but don't put that much (r.i.p 12'' sqx)southside say 1200wrms for daily i say 1000wrms around that, the sub is very good for sq (some deep lows)

in the carshows it was not that loud ,but on the street ,that lows use to shake....
