ARA (Autosport Racing Association) in collaboration with CDRTT (The Concerned Drag Racers) are having the 1st ever big performance and tuner parts swap meet and sale.

Sunday 31st may 2009 - 10am to 7pm

There has been tremendous response to this initiative with many ideas being thrown around on making this event quite interesting.

Already 12 tents have been booked by those wishing to set up a display of interesting items they wish to display / sell.

And we are having more requests for those who just wish to be a part of this first-time Swap Meet.

On display will be Drag Cars, Rally Cars – even one for sale, 4 IASCA Tents, The Mitsubishi Crew, and the Mini and Ford Clubs.

Would you like to have an opportunity to get an item valued maybe $300.00 or $400.00 for just $10.00? Yes, this may very well be possible.

It is clear to see that ARA along with CDRTT are trying their best to unite Drag Racers as a viable and respected entity, by demonstrating in this swap meet that we can support a non racing event with discipline. I just heard that there was about 2000 people present at an illegal street race in Wallafield and 1000 at Omera. I understand that the ultimate gold is a proposal to Government for a temporary venue for Drag Racing. This could hamper their efforts Saddd....

Ok, hoss boy here is an option for you.

1) Attend and support the swap meet as you would a street race, except this one is waking hours not bat hours.

2) Visit the Association tent sign up pay $100 and make yourself count.

3) Start attending Association meetings and support a vision for the future.

Rember, there are many other Drivers that own full race cars that can't go for bread or papers or a Sunday drive, until a track is found, we all should start thinking of the bigger picture and not just about ourselves.
