this is more a home/pro audio question but...

I have a 2-way passive crossover for home/pro audio use that I want to use a woofer/tweeter combination on. I will be using 8 om speakers.

question: if the woofer and tweeter are wired correctly to the crossover, will the overall impedance remain at 8 ohms?

if so, how come?
