do you have a cat converter in that car |
Yeh.. it have 2 cats. I took off the header cover.. and checked all the way to the cats.. even looked past them to da muffler wen I cudnt find di O2 . Will check di dealer on di weekend. - is a 1.6 b6
I'm really thinkin dat di cats blocked tho.. since the rev dip came back so soon.
Also interesting.. di revs was dipping even when I was cruising.. below 1500rpm .. but di low gas light had come on.. dont kno if dat cud b related. |

the local mazdas that we used to get from southern sales was so inferior to the japanese and singapore one |
Very Interesting statement you made there..
What evidence do you base that statement on?
Did you take both a local 323 & a foreign used and compare them both on fuel consumption over a certain distance?
Fuel consumption depends on alot of different factors, biggest one IMO is driving style. I own a local 323, bought it brand new from southern sales in 1999, came with a ZM-DE and gas consumption was great! I work in POS and live in San Fernando. My daily gas bill was approx $30 dollars, with the A/C on.
Now I have a ZL-VE in my car and the couple times I used it to go to POS it burned much more than $30.. Off course like Maztune said, that is thanks to the 250cc injectors |
I have both a local and a foreign used mazda 323 mazda 323 98 local(1.6) and mazda 323 95 fU(1.5)
the mileage on the 95 was always so much more better than the 98
the 95 came with lotmore sensors including the o2 sensors and cat converter
plastic parts on the 98 is more brittle than the 95
95 have abags and abs braking system
when buying the 98 in southern sales new that was not even an option |

ah away from meh car and i need to find out if the oxygen sensor on the mazda 323f 95 model is a one wire or two wire
if possible the part number also but that not to critical
thanks guys |
Ok, ah did a lil checkin.. some sources say from 96 is a 3 wire.. but.. if u search for a o2 replacement di results will show 3 wire for the 95 as well.

There is another part to da story tho.. some of the 323f's come with a air to fuel ratio adjuster. A subaru tuner tell me that typically yuh car doan need both that an di O2 sensor. I really dont kno. |

Thanks Jusezy
I am back home and with my car now so i was able to check it my self
My O2 sensor is the single wire one .
yes your fiend is right you do not need the sensor for the car to run but you will constantly run rich (burn more gas)
but there is also a temperature sensor in the exaust manifold and that also works like the oxy gen sensor and cuts back the fuel if te temperature increases
will take some pics and post it so te location of the sensors will be seen |
