^^Much to my dismay I discovered that it depends on the year of your engine...
The older GA15DEs came with oil seals and are easy to change. Just take off the valve cover and carefully prize off the old ones. Press the new ones into the cover and replace it.
The later engine covers (like fuggin' mine... ) came with teflon rings that are built into the cover. The cover can be modified to take oil seals. However, the standard 27x49x7mm seal will not work. The outer diameter needs to be somewhere in the region of 35-38mm. The problem is that it's difficult to get that size down here. Also, because this takes some time, most mechanics are not willing to go through all that trouble and just want you to look for a foreign used cover. Believe me I've looked and it kinda hard to get a good one.
If you're handy with a dremel and can get the seals, you can do the mod yourself.
I'm holding on until I get the appropriate seals, or a good used cover at a reasonable price. The dealer has a new cover for get this....$ 1243.00...
