See... this is where some ACCURATE road stats would come in handy... i.e.

1. The number of accidents due to drunk driving Evil or Very Mad
2. Number of accidents due to breach of road regulations (breaking red light, non-use of indicators..... btw yuh think if they had to pay extra for indicators they would ACTUALLY use it????? Confused)
3. Inconsiderate drivers that choose to drive at 40/50km on the fast lane on the highway making all other drivers have to change lanes unnecessarily and increases the risk of collision

Finally, whether or not there are legal drag racing events, when you can get a driver's license wihtout leaving home, there will always be ignorant and illiterate drivers. The issue of recklessness on the road is more directly related the following:

1. Inadeqaute controls in the licensing office.
2. Poor understanding of the risks associated with breaking the "small ting" laws on the road by the police and therefore inadeqaute enforcement of said laws.
3. Lack of equipment and required legislation to enforce road laws, i.e. speeding and to an extent drunk driving.

So brain freeze, THINK... BEFORE not after you start typin.... Rolling Eyes

why don't they say what they mean....that it is $350.00 to run! It sounding like a certain cinema who started to charge a $5.00 "security" fee instead of just syaing they increased their prices!

I'm assuming it's because this is a championship series.......not just a 'drags' session....
...
I observe there is no registration fee to become eligible for competition in the various brackets....so the entry fee for this individual event is 'just' 300............FIA lic shud also have been one cost for the year, but this first event is also one where competitors will be assessed in this regard.......but that's a different issue (& cost).
