Sorry peeps...things are on hold til further notice. Not only have we suffered a drift casualty with Kerry now out of it for awhile, but alot of the members are really having a hard time getting there cars ready especially with their cars being daily drivers. One member has a blown engine, while another has just sold his car.

Its really disappointing becuz everyone is looking forward to an event but we just can't seem to get all the cars ready at the same time. We even have the layout planned, and some upgrades to the strategy on running the event.

Once again guys...I apologize for the no-show for '08 thus far.

one question tsuchiya.. if this drift event was to take place in arima would the gravel on the track complicate the runs? is neting being done to solve this.last time i went to a solodex event there was a lot of gravel on the track..for driftin it may pose a threat..

honestly...in the real world, ur gonna get more than jus dirt. the gravel sometimes helps and in the beginning when we had open diffs, that and rain was the only way the non-lsd cars could try to slide properly. BUT unless u know its there and ur prepared for it when u enter a corner, the first couple of times, you're most likely to be caught by surprise and spin out.
Usually after a couple of runs the cars basically sweep the gravel off line

So cant there be event even though DWO cars are down? I'm 100% sure there are alot of RWD people just itching to try to drift on a safe course.

maybe a "practice event" for the noobs like myself?

Sad

yea we had a practice drift session for nisoc members only a while back , it was great....learned alot!
But we were under strict order from ttasa offcials and briko heads that only club members were to be allowed on the track...so not all could benefit from that

Ask the nissan club...it ain't that easy. Events like this draw so many ppl that there has to be alot of available hands to assist in running even a miniscule event. There's so much red tape and nonsensical clutter that u really can't just jump into presenting an event...
