yea tuners i was wondering this. i a primera with ah SR20 silver top right and it has over 200,000 plus kilometer on d speedometer. So i was wondering if i can put royal purple oil for my next oil change. I feel i may not be able to put the ROYAL PURPLE OIL due to the mileage of the car and the fact that the engine is ten years old. The primera was bought brand new from massy nah which was 10 years ago.
So only positive feedback greatly appreciated.

What oil did you use over the years? Does your car burns oil? Do your engine leak oil? If you do not have any oil leak and your engine does not burn oil, chances are you would have no problem using Royal Purple or any other brand of synthetic oil. Simple check your oil level every 500 km to make sure your oil level is good.

been using castrol 20w-50 since the car was bought. Mechanically it is sound never had to do any engine job at all. Only did regular maintanence when needed. d car has never burned oil at all. d only thing i would like to do is change out all the suspension that have bushings but dat isn't possible. since dat is real money. anyways all yuh go have any info or so.

If the old oil made the motor last this long, why change?
Castrol isnt it?

if the engine isn't using oil, then u should continue using the castrol 20W - 50 or u can maybe use a straight 50.. dont use too much thin oil at this stage of the engine's life...

if its a performance gain you are looking for then i dont think its worth your time it is a high mileage engine dont think you should beat on it

does the oil come out clean still after oil changes? are you burning any oil?
is the engine stock?
not worth the extra cost imo

im not saying there will be a problem but the OP wants a performance gain i highly doubt there will be that much of a difference. on my high mileage sr 150k miles when i put synthetic the engine was much more noisier so i went back to the castrol high mileage

i think the RP is a load of BS as far as picking up extra HP, it is a good stable oil but it wont give you hp, we didnt get any extra hp or mph using it

if its an old engine use an oil with little or no detergents
