anything else?

like:
usb
ipod
bands of equalization
preout voltage
bluetooth
what you planning to use it for (daily/sq/comp)?

IMO, the pioneer will be the most cost effective, and anything from the 4100UB/IB up

Buy an Alpine, no need to worry about ribbon cables failing or RCA's grounding off

^^^^^
there is cheap alpine and high end. which to go? the system is for daily play and rare loud playing. if i'm going cheap i'm thinking about the alpine ida-x200 as i don't need cd and for high end i'm thinking about the pioneer 510ub or 6100bt. not looking to spend more than 1800.

put the extra and get a good high end deck, then you might end up saving money.

personally, i've never had any problems with the pioneer line and as i said, anything above the 4100 should give you what you are looking for.

Instead of buying the processor, just combine both funds and go for the Alpine cda-9887 Idea

unless you have ears like a SQ judge or competitor the pioneer will work fine for you (even works fine for some present SQ competitors)

If you are an avid ICE enthusiast you will notice the difference. The only high end thing pioneer makes is the 880PRS and the 800PRS..

I know some guys swear by pioneer, which is ok for someone who just wants music to listen to. But if you want a little better tuning capabilities and clarity go with a high end Alpine or an 800prs.

X 2

I have one and you might not need an external processor if you buy this.

3 way crossover
Individual Gain control
time alignment
USB input
3 band parametric EQ

it a lil ugly but it works well.
