what do you mean by "dropping" is it revving up an down....black smoking ? check the minor things b4 assuming bigger stuff..your idle switch sticking?.....does it work well above the 1000 rpm mark?

yes its revving up and down, no black smoke. some times it does rev up and down between the 1000 rpm mark down and other times its good.

well could be a range of problems, but the easiest to check might be the tb...clean out the valve and idle switch and see what happens.

I had a similar issue with a SR20de. It was a vacuum line with a small split on the end.
