have you ever notice oil on your alternator well if you only knew the kind of damage that could do to your alternator i was looking at a stator coil today and realize that the oil formsa coat over the coil and blocks the air from passing freely and inturns cause it to heat up and burn slowly and before you know it you need a new alternator |

| I Donot know if this is a problem..but recently i have noticed that my temperture guage takes a long while to reach to the half mark which is normal, the car is a diesel b13, with a cd17 engine it's manual, and i have noticed that when driving on 5th gear the temp. guage goes to the cold mark is that a problem? on mornings it stays on the cold mark..... |

It is a 4 core.......well so says the last owner......by the way how do you tell if it is a 4 core or what ever core?
I donot cross 100km very very rear cus i drive with my family mostly.it's more like 80km per hour all the time when it permits,
The car works great i am just concern if running too low a temp. Will be a problem!
The fan is not direct and the termostat....i donot know |

| to tell the amount of cores you have to look into the radiator , make sure the engine cool like before you start take the cover off the radiator and look inside you'll see the tubes that run from top to bottom * this applies for only when the radiator cap is fitted directly on top of the radiator itself*. what you have to look at is the amount of tubes you see across( the width of the radiator ) not lenght .. 4 core is pretty big for a cd17 engine . it will not damage anything but may cause you to burn a little more fuel all engines have a operating temperture aprox 1/2 on the guage |

scanning your b14 using the flashing codes from the check light
it goes like this
some ecu's came with a hole at the top covered with a clear plastic remove it and there is a little screw turn it clockwise for a few seconds and then back anticlockwise and the check light should start blinking
If your ecu does have that hole at the "TOP" i didn't say side lol you can still scan your car all you need is a piece of wire like speaker wire and thing nah .
pull out the cover for the fuse box on the driver side . you'll see the diagnostic port .Yes the 14 pin connector take the wire and jumper the two top right hand side pins and you'll see the check light starts to blink
* ignition must be on
these are the steps and read out
1. Turn the ignition switch on, but do not start the engine. All of the lights in the dash should be on.
2. Turn the 'diagnostic mode selector' screw on the ECU fully clockwise. The check engine light will go out. Wait 5 seconds, then turn the screw fully counter clockwise.
3. The check engine light will then begin to flash the trouble code. (number of long flashes is the 1st digit, number of short flashes is the 2nd digit)
4. To clear all stored codes and turn the check engine light off, turn the screw fully clockwise while it is in diagnostic mode. Wait 5 seconds, then turn the screw fully counter clockwise.
5. To keep the codes stored, simply turn the key off as the check engine
light is flashing and the ECU will keep all stored codes and the check engine light will remain on.
this other part is what your looking for it's also works for the RB
