I was looking at the news last night and the hockey people have their sh!t together. Everybody under one governing body and NSO who supports and brings value and benefit to the sport. They are competing internationally and representing the country and producing national heroes through the proper process which helps to valid the achievements. Because of this they get the full support of corporate sponsors and the ministry.

The main question to ask right now is what will it take for motorsport to get its sh!t in order so it can benefit from the same support hockey is now getting.

Are the key players willing to do what it takes?
History says no.
But 2008 is a new year, new hope of a track, new minister of sport who is a racer, and who knows maybe new executive blood?

weelll...
look at the years that a promotions company 'ran' drag racing.......all allyuh 'cash cow'.....
...
what was the development & upliftment to motor sports that resulted Question Question
...
TTASA is the only organisation that is MANDATED BY IT'S CONSTITUTION TO DEVELOP & UPLIFT MOTOR RACING
promotions companies see ONLY THEIR POCKETS......
..
so if u want a plain-talk answer....YES, I AM UPSET...that the same sh!t is being expounded by the likes of u (& others)......& to tell u the truth,...if u want it so & watch house, land, car appear out of 'nowhere' , & then stupidly wonder how motorsports sink so low (& cuss TTASA for making it so)...then vote for it.......otherwise...STFU.

link,
use your organizational skills for d circuit race in t'dad this weekend nah.
wait.....................what's the reason this is not possible?
you obviusly need to take your own advice.

as far as "promotions company 'ran' drag racing.......all allyuh 'cash cow'..... "goes.
1), that's just one body / discipline. why don't the rest want any part of you?
and again.....................why create a cost for persons to do one thing, yet let the rest go free.
it is numbered 1 for a reason.

you 've never answered
* the FIA license @ wallers question, while the guys underage nephew was allowed to drive a car there.
* the compensation for the dog-bite victims at camden
* the okay to perform............. what was it again............ ah yes, evaluating of vehicles handling.....aka SPEEDING..........by some, but not others.

how about you STFU, or answer these questions before you next bray.

Quote:
what was the development & upliftment to motor sports that resulted

TTASA's greed was in the way then. and is in the way now.

TTASA is the only organization that is MANDATED BY IT'S CONSTITUTION TO DEVELOP & UPLIFT MOTOR RACING
how has this been done? what has been done?
and we eh talking camden. is a 40yr period.
worse yet as NSO, what records can be shown the public, income vs expenditures.
and keep in mind the promotional company you want to bring into this, is a private company. TTASA does not have that luxury of an excuse.

cry me a river.
anyone has 6 strings to accompany this.

TTASA has f'ed up. repeatedly, and refuse to allow others, to even attempt to do better.
so now TnT motorsport is in a condition where better can be done, but the worst refuse to allow it.
Motorsport in Tnt could possibly die with you all. if ever that happens I wish TTASA as it stands now dies as well. only because that way TNT Motorsport and a presiding body capable of managing it, may both flourish.

so a private company is not bound by any mandate to develop motor sports in T&T........
..
so you validate the point I make but try to stand on the 'other' side........
..
if u think a private company -which, mind you, reaped the $$$$ benefits of 'running drags' for a number of years, is the way to go......by all means...go ahead.....
...
if you can't accept that TTASA as the NSO & governing body for motor sports is constitutionally bound to develop motor sports with whatever revenues is accrues.......what can I say ???
...
if you ..........
..
anyways....
let's try again :-
STFU

sigh...............same rubbish different day. the TTASA way.
all you see is your hate for said company. the other issues, you are in a postion to turn a blind eye to. so you do, and you hope for persons to have confidence in you......................musbe some brand of thinking developed from years of going round in circles, backwards. Sad
stay bound to your mandate. It has proven to be the solution thus far. Rolling Eyes
the 40+year track record speaks volumes, of what is your organizations real interest.

wagonrunner made the same valid points as made MANY times before.

A promotions company has ZERO requirement to put any proceeds toward development... whereas TTASA is mandated to do so... which is why TTASA should make it so that both motorsport AND the promotional company see a benefit from an event.

To say that the promotional company took the money and run is WRONG... it is the responsibility of TTASA to collect and disburse a portion of the proceeds towards the development of mospo.... If TTASA then ALLOWS the company to do as they please... don't go blaming the company... blame the people IN CHARGE of mospo.

BTW... 3 decades + of TTASA rule and they supposed to develop mospo... umm... does TTASA have grandstands or even a timing system of their own ? Or they still borrowing from the 'evil promotions companies' ?

I wonder if some of the questions posed will be on the agenda ?

this is going to be another waste of time

everyone is going to sya their piece and with no minister of sports to confrim or deny any statements made by any of the invited guests its all going to be misleading

ttasa is going to say one thing

other parties are going to say somthing else

and it will just be a who say who didnt say

as nothing can be confirmed it the minister of sports is not there

link as well as the rest of the senior people in ttaa have a permanent grouse with autosport because autosport was formed becasue some people who were members of ttasa saw a vision with drag racing which the rest of members were not interested in

there have been other issues and incidences between ttasa and autosport in the past of which ttasa chooses to use as thier constant excuse for why motorsport is in shambles

unless there is new blood on ttasa's board there will always be the constant disagreements between ttasa and other fraternities

keep the name ttasa
have 2 reps from each fraternity so everyone has fair representation

leave jameer as president

and tell the honourary members of ttasa to be just that and stop dictating from the background

keep them as advisors and not adminsitrators

as most of them suffer from the typical old trini indian syndrome where they cant seem to let go and allow the younger generation to take over

no insult meant at anyone in my posts

so ttasa can print and keep this one toon for thier record

Sorry to burst your bubble DUANE, it is all a show. while on the outside the hockey administration looks sound, it is not fact. Having played hockey for 8 yrs, any knowing all persons in and around the sport, hockey suffered from very similar symptoms to motorsport. it is only this new board that was elected in a bachanal itself that has broken a longstanding dictatorship by 1 hockey club that ruled much like TTASA.
the question is are ppl goin to stand up for them selves like the way all clubs opposed to (insert hockey club/motorsport body name here) and rejected the old controlling ways.

^ means to an end - hockey still has support, motorsport doesn't

I'd still rather pay through my nose to race on a proper track run by some money hungry smart man dictator hitler than to moan and complain for another year with no track and no support for motorsport for the sake of what is right and wrong.

call me fed up.
