ummm if u just want an engine into your 323, throw away the old E5 then go for the Z5 or ZL-VEvvt or the B6...yes it will drop straight in....
if u want to perform, go with nothing less than a BP or the new 1.8FS-DE .. ..and dont put an sr20 into your 323..its not worth it...a BP will give you the same power, and thats just disrespectful man....
ummm a g/box for a BP isnt hard to get....u can use any B series g/box or mazda 626 sohc g/box....thee new b6dohc g/box will work fine with power and your original your mount setup and also if u can get your hands on the bp FWD g/box; holds up to over 400whp...
dont buy a BP without the ecu!!
duh!! unless u plan to go AEM!!! |

neckto, you should budget at least 10K total for the swap (upgrade), even if you are putting in a B5 or BP....especially if this car is your daily driver!! If you are seriously going performance budget at least 20K!! Keep that in mind...it's never as simple as "dropping it straight in"!
If you can get the E5 for 2K then it will save plenty headache and $$ just to drop that in! |

| neckto, the E5 would be much easier. But the B6 is a much better engine. If you getting everything at that price that's a reasonable buy. |

the Z5, ZL, B6 & ZM all interchange bolt for bolt.....
but i just wanna know whose put one to the test......cause im looking for a gearbox for my BP.....which im hoping gives me at least 160hp with some stand alone management...
those gearboxes are fairly new, with little wear. so i am hoping they would last, but i dont plan too be Dumping my clutch on every cruise i take..
the bamboo asking $2300, for the new B6 hydraulic box and setup w/axles, flywheel. |

about 5500 with g/box...
and they only come 4wd...
so u've gotta get a box....
and the recommended FWD g/box is difficult to find.....them bamboo ppl dont cater for mazda or ford performance nuh.....!!!! harsh!!!
the G series BP FWD g/box can handle over 400whp.....its been proven with video and time slips...
i dont know where u gonna find a B6T g/box.....but u can get the G series hydraulic B6 gearboxes....
i dont know how much power they can take...!!
all G-series gearboxes are from the Twin Cam mazda engines...
the F series are from the SOHC mazda engines.....
the B6 hydraulic g/box and setup, w/axles, would cost you approx 2400
the F-series gearbox would cost you 1000 w/axles......i think its like 300 for the CV's.... |
