Sounds like an excellent idea!

BTW, the body parts you have, any of those will work on my car (wagon)? Looking at side mirrors, front lights and doors mainly.

MAZDAS WE SHOULD NEVER FORGET:

-616
-PAK series and thereabouts 929 both sedan and coupe
-PAY to PBJ model, I remember when that PAY one came out with 4-wheel steering. It was an executive's dream long time. Had a 3.0 DOHC 24V V6.
-1 gen RX-7
-2nd gen RX-7 (still faster than a prelude)
-3rd geb RX-7 (last versions did 0-60 in 4.5s )
-92 to 97 MX-6 had a 2.0 and 2.5 DOHC 24V V6s in them
-92 to 97 MX-3 had a 1.8 DOHC 24V V6
-94 to 98 323F sedan and hatch.... interior space for little car peppy 1.6 DOHC 16V engine also had 1.8 version too. Hatch available in 2.0 V6 also.
-98 to 03 323 GLX....another ppl favourite, had 1.6 engines up to 2.0 SV-T with tiptronic etc. 4 airbags, 4-wheel discs...a compact favourite all over the world.
-MAZDA 3....1.6 SV-T engine also has 2.0 and 2.3 SVTs. 8 airbags, navi, auto lights, auto wipers, 4-speed tiptronic etc etc
-1 gen 626
-2nd gen 626 with the power-swaying a/c vents (PAR and PAS) available in 1.8 and 2.0
-3rd gen 626 (PAW-PAZ)...those were very nice especially those later 2.0 versions
-4th gen 626 92-97 model (PAY-PBC)...these had 2.0 four and 2.0/2.5 V6 engines, same as in the MX-6. These cars were curvy and very sweet.
-5th gen lossed the touch tho (PBC-PBL) its 2.0L and interior were nice but exterior wasn't all that.
-MAZDA 6.....just lovely...has a 2.0 and 2.3 SV-T 4-cyls and also available in 3.0 DOHC 24V SV-T V6 and 6-speed tiptronic. standard cruise control, 8 airbags, 17"rims, 4-wheel disc, 6CD changer, steering audio controls..lovely comeback
-Tribute - has 2.0, 2.3 and 3.0 V6 versions. Saw quite a few of those V6 versions locally and it had a lot of PACE for a compact SUV. Eats CRVs, RAV4s, Xtrails etc for lunch.
-B1600, B1800, B2000, B2200, B2500, B2600, B3000, B4000......those local B2500 turbos are sweet for a pickup truck and they are elegant lookin.

All in all my fellow Mazda maniacs, the list will keep going but you get the idea Love ur Mazda, take good care of it because not many car makers can boast of such a history of development and achievments etc...especially when you drove those 626s and 929s back then, I am sure while we were in primary school we use to really admire them cars. They have image. Take care of them because a Mazda owner loves his car more. Laterz folks.

people.... Timing/timing belt...

as of lately, my vehicle has been not so responsive at take off... in following some threads online, someone who was experiencing similar problems said they had someone check their timing belt, and it was off....

i suspect the same thing could be wrong with mines... the thing is, who can do a reliable check for me.... in reading, one post mentioned that i'm suppose to reset the ecu after making belt change/adjustments!? is this correct? if so, i don't think that was done on my last belt change...

Which mazda specialist can i go to have this checked, that wouldn't buss meh head with price?
