Next episode

All three of the presenters go on the hunt for the holy grail of motoring - a reliable used Alfa Romeo - with predictably messy results.

Jeremy takes the new Bentley Brooklands beyond the limit. Way, way beyond, in fact.

And, Gavin and Stacey stars James Corden and Rob Brydon take to the track in our reasonably priced car.

I think that is the 1st time I've seen on the show where they burst a tyre..granted they must have done it a few times considering the amount of power sliding they do but I've never seen it shown.

Nah well actually that's not very new at all.
They had similar challenges like that ever since

Porsche's
Lambo's
"Super Cars"

all for a set fixed amount of cash...the "guess what" stunt is brand new.

Top Gear

Sunday 13 July
8:00pm - 9:00pm
BBC2

Top Gear undertakes one of its epic races as Jeremy Clarkson attempts to drive the remarkable new Nissan GT-R right across Japan faster than Richard Hammond and James May can make the same journey on the legendary Bullet Train. Plus, Richard tries Toyota's idea of personal transport for the future, the sensational Alfa Romeo 8C brings some glamour to the Top Gear track and news readers Fiona Bruce and Kate Silverton are the Stars in The Reasonably Priced Car.

Quote:
We're heading off to Japan, the land of unnecessarily complicated toilets, tiny trees and the world's most hotly anticipated new supercar - the Nissan GT-R. It's time for the latest of our patented epic races.

Jeremy will be getting behind the wheel of the Porsche-baiting Nissan, while Richard and James are to make good use of Japan's legendarily punctual public transport system.

Also, Clarkson hammers the impossibly pretty Alfa Romeo 8C around our test track, to see if its beauty is more than just skin-deep.

And, Fiona Bruce and Kate Silverton are our next pair of stars in a reasonably priced car.
