Boy i dunno nah. I took out the limiter in my car.
All i know is the needle used to stick at 180kph and when i come off the accelerator it used to stay so for a good 7-8 seconds before it start to go down.
So i'm guessing about a 220kph or something. |

Yea but even at those speeds you does feel real comfortable.
The car real stable. I was real impressed the first time i didnt even realise i was doing so much numbers.
And she actually fell asleep while i was doing the numbers.
So you know i mash a lil harder.. |

The limiter I think is set at 200kph that's why you feel the choking. Nah my rpms ain't reach so high more like 5400 rpms. So you was doing a lil more than 220kph |

Allyuh young boys only know cars with Km. I broke out with cars in mph so ole habits die hard.
So I just aged my self.
LSpec B I know better than trying to get some brains working up in here
Question.
I dont think finding out the top end on the car is to be done on the govt roads, we could do this on a dyno???

| when on open road the velocity of the air at that speed cool everything down gr8, but when on a dyno that is not present and it increases the risk of someting breaking, |

jus joined the Subaru family. A 1999/2000 Legacy (twin turbo)....so go easy on me guys...lol
need some advice though, first of all:
1) I dont know if its jus me or my car, but i'm burning a lot of gas. The car idles great for sure but i'm thinking it probably needs a tune up?...any advice/tips?
2) There's an oil leak and i'm seeing a lot of oil around the actuator which i think falls on the exhaust.... wat u guys think?......replace (available?) or repair?
3) Can other model Subaru parts be interchanged?
any other info wud be helpful too
thanks |

Welcome.........
They do burn a lot more gas than what you may be accustomed to.....
You probably lil excited as you now get it and mustbe driving hard.... so you may get better mileage once you ease up......but it will be higher than you accustomed too once you living in boost If the car need a tune up it will be burning more gas as well....Some good synthetic ouil, original filter, plugs etc and you should be good to go.......
Other than that get an engine and underbody wash drive it for a couple days after and find a GOOD mechanic.......He should be able to find any leaks better once you clean up......
Some parts are interchangalble but the experts here will help you with that when the need arises......
Have fun....... |
