Testing was done off 2 powermaster 3100, and 1 3400 with a powermaster 140A alt in Rene's Van Off a DC LVL 4 XL 15"

From memory (Full and accurate results would be posted by jon)

Stetsom 7k2d 3550 rms@ 6ohm

Stetsom 2k5d 2400 rms@ 4.2 ohm

IA 20.1 1550rms@ 2.1 ohm

Sundown 1000D 1100rms@ 1ohm

Termlab SPL Scores:
Christian: 140.6dB (1 12, 1000W rms)
Viking: 145.8dB (2 10s, 1500W rms)

We also tested Class A/B amps, and even though they put out rated power, we had some issues in understanding why the impedance readings were so high for these amps. (RF 800@2, Zapco Studio 500, PG Ryval v150.2, and yes even the Pyramid amp)

I must give thanks to Rene (3stagevtec) for providing his vehicle and equipment to use, and even for putting up his sub up for some brutal tests Laughing

Even though it wasn't a huge turnout, it was good to see people still turnup for the activity.

I thought you had to bring an amp to test to be there in the first place... I ain't bother because all I have finally installed properly lol

To be honest, i was pretty disappointed that we didn't get more of the 'regular' amps there for the test.. I really wanted to see some Soundstream / Power Acoustik / Boss Audio / Hifonics etc tested as those amps are what the majority of buyers choose..

Must say thanks to the guys from team 2lo2flo for providing an interesting line up of amps for testing..

notes:
the 1 ohm stable 7k2d was tested with a starting impedance of 2ohms to protect my sub.. even with a rise to ~6ohms, it still produced an easy ~3600W.. and that was with me going easy on the volume..

the 2k5d used was the 2ohm model, which is rated at 2500W @ 2ohms @ 12.6V.. i'd say that rating is pretty spot on considering the results we got..
