Tampico Mexico - June 17, 2008 - The 13th annual Killer Sound Wave was held on the beach in Tampico, Mexico last weekend. Over 12,000 spectators were in attendance enjoying the sun, fun & sound. The event is produced by Mary Leyton & Gustavo Orosco with their son Abraham; they are the owners of Audio Car System, an area car audio retailer. IASCA Mexico president Clemente Miranda was joined by IASCA Worldwide president Paul Papadeas to officiate the event. IASCA international judges Will Adcock of Houston, TX and Sammy Vega from Alachua, FL assisted the IASCA Mexico judging team in handling 215 vehicles entered into the Sound Q, IdBL and Tuner Jam car show competitions.

"I've judged this IASCA event for seven years now" said Adcock, "and it's great to see the level of improvement in installation, but I am especially impressed about the improvements in sound quality. Several repeat competitors, whom I've judged over the years, personally thanked me for the education IASCA judging gave them to improve their systems. All in all, IASCA has made a tremendous impact in this country".

Furthering the educational exposure, Dave “the Fisherman” gave a seminar on stage Saturday night which was well attended. A midway of exhibit booths (including five newcomers to the event) were led by dB Drive, JBL and Clarion who were showing spectators their latest product lineups in custom show cars and displays. Several dealers from the area participated in the event selling car audio and accessories to attendees, while a live Mexican Pop Band had the crowd dancing in place. The added bevy of beautiful Latino girls in bikinis at the event had the makings of what could be considered the Mexican version of the Spring Break Nationals.

"Event marketing is the key to consumer awareness", said Papadeas, "and our push into Latin America, where passion runs deep, is more than taking shape". A good time was had by all and plans for the 2009 event are already underway. For more information on iasca Mexico please visit iasca.com.mx or iasca.com.
