Daytona Beach FL , June 30, 2008 - In a recent meeting Mobile Electronics Industry Distributors, Dealers and Installers along with members of the Press assembled for a conference in Panama City last week to hear the game plan of IASCA Latino America. IASCA Worldwide President Paul Papadeas and IASCA Colombia affiliate Javier Pardo Moreno addressed the plans for the forward movement of the IASCA mission in Central and South America.

“Event marketing is, has and will always be an effective method of increasing category awareness” said Papadeas, “and the Latino American marketplace is relatively uncluttered with articles competing for discretionary spending dollars. Our Colombia affiliation has been producing IASCA events for 15 years and is respected as the Godfather of Car Audio Shows in the region. Car audio exposition is a great way to stimulate these consumers. The Latino audience is one of the most passionate I have ever experienced; they become fully involved with and are greatly influenced by all the happenings of the event”.

In the meeting, plans were introduced to establish an event tour for 2009 beginning in the city of Panama and its continuance through Peru, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia and Ecuador beginning with a feasibility study and review of venues in these markets. On the agenda prior to the event tour will be IASCA judges training seminars to ensure the fairness in competition. Pardo has already preformed events throughout Colombia and Ecuador. An introductory event in Chile took place recently with IASCA Colombia judges officiating. Pardo also operates an IASCA installation training school in Bogota.

“Industry members welcomed the news and were enthused to participate” Papadeas said “It’s important to know that, in the past, events have been performed in these countries using the IASCA Brand without authorization. Some of these unauthorized events were produced by unsavory types who did so only for personal gain. Now, with focus on industry proliferation and the credibility of an authorized agent, IASCA Worldwide authorized events will be posted on iasca.com ensuring confidence in the market as to their validity”.
