My previous post was .....Who was the best person who conducts diagnostic tests and clean injectors.... My reply was SOOKAI's DIESEL SERVICE 671-2333 and AEC south 652-2333. However some ppl find the best person to clean your injectors is yourself as it is easy!!!

Well, I'd like to know what do I do....and what chemicals, machines (if any) do I use??? I am sure this will benefit all Tuners guaranteed!

other than the regular cleaners in the tank you could use old school method, fill the gas filter with carb spray and then start, will work both carbed and efi engines
a couple of times should do the trick

when doin this cleanin', is there any residue or some liquid substance that you could get after the cleaning that will show you how dirty your injectors were?

i don't exactly know how to explain that but i hope you get the idea.

i kno Dave is an advocate of the concept that cleaning injectors is done best when they are actually cycling as opposed to just static.

i endorse this view and some of us also clip off an injector harness (one connector) and tap it to the battery source and touch the wire on and off the + whilst sprayin carb cleaner into the top of the injector.

Sport20 i dont think there is any way to really SEE ur dirt..uh..why would u? i think u are tryin to ask if there was a way to gauge if the cleaning was done sufficiently or properly and evidenced by this or that amount of dirty residue produced. i say...let ur engine's performance be the tell tale. once u do a basic cleanup as described above and run a concentrated injector cleaner intank regularly, ur injectors should never need a serious professional cleanout

Idea

Redline Fuel Injector Cleaner!!!

i swear by that $hit!

if i can't get it...i just throw in ah Jectron or Wynn's every other full up. but a month will never pass me without having thrown in some cleaner system. and with the daily driving i do, injectors dont have time to gum up!

I do the cleaning myself also with the injector harness and tapping the battery.. question though what can i use to to enlarge the carb spray nozel exit (the red straw nah) the the injector filter at the top of the injector. I used tapes but they all melt away with the carb spray.

Can some one confirm if this "old school method' of cleaning injectors whereby you spray carb spray in the gas filter, reconnect it then alow it to pulse through the injectors while the car is idling??

Mitsu_Exec, the reason i asked is because my mechanic clean my injectors a while back and he showed me a bowl of dirty solution and said that's how dirty they were.

honestly, the car worked GREAT after the injectors were cleaned but i recently decided to stop goin' by him because i think he's been rippin' me off.

It pays to learn!

Excellent Job guys... I tried your concept and it worked excellently.... Thanks a lot.....
This is the type of info i think we should all share... some guys can't afford to fork out $150 every 3 mths ....especially with the dirty fuel we have in Trinidad.

Thanks again guys.

i dont believe in putting injector cleaners in your fuel tank, as they clean the tank not the injectors, so they actually make the shiet they clean from inside the tank pass through the injectors, and clog the filter etc..

i have uised the method by hooking up the airosol can of injector cleaner to the fuel rail and letting teh car run off that till it dies, then start it and deal with the cloud of smoke, and rev etc...

i have alos seen mad backyard mechanics do similar things with batteries, hooking them up to the plug on the injector and hooking up a line with a magic potion of injector cleaner (probably WD with Thinners or something) but i am strongly against this method for obvious reasons lol..

any-e-one.. looking for a plastic piece that can fit a can of aerosol spray and snuggly fit the injector filter.
