flat subs fit up nice, i hav personally heard some & can say i am impressed.
you hav a choice from rf, re, kicker, pioneer etc.
yuh safe with de flat subs.
but if you say you want to reamin original, there are some high powered 8'" that can fit bewteen your front seats & the bow will stretch down the center to the backseat.
I hav seen such an install & it sounded ok. |

| Well intially i was thinking two DD 8" but i cant fit it. the seat keeps bothering it when it folds up . I have been hearing rumors/old talk about the flat subs. that they cant repair they burn easily etc. now i assume as long as u stay within the power rating u shouldnt burn, but its a concern as well. so thanks for the ideas so far keep them coming if u have more.. |

the best that you could get is retaining a 45 degree andle to the fold. it won't be able to fold right up, but its more than enough to access the compartments.
i'd say that 1 12" ported should be enough.
if you have the money go for the JL because it takes the most power of all the flat subs that i've seen, good reviews online and i THINK that it requires the smallest box. if not, a pair of the elemental designs SQ10 sealed should also get pretty loud
(if you want to take a chance and port them, you can add some polyfill to try and compensate for the missing volume) |
