|
|
| Having a problem with my audio system, and it driving me crazy. I'm getting alot of static or distortion coming through the speakers, like all the engine noise and stuff. I have no idea what might be causing it,but it super irritating and I don't even bother to turn on the stereo. It started when i was doing a little offroading, and a speaker's wire got disconnected from the speaker, and i think it may have touched the body of the vehicle. If anyone know what I can do please lemme know. Thanks. |

| You have amps or are the speakers run straight to the deck? Could be a resistor is blown in the deck. |

| Are your speaker wire and current wires runned on the same side of the vehicle?? That is the wires from the amp going to the battery and the wires running from your deck to your amps? |

pioneer deck?
1st check the ground connection and speaker wires. make sure they are all well secured, esp the ground.
if problem still exists, it could be a blown part in the deck, usually an easy fix for an electrician.. |

yea, the deck has RCA's running to an amp, i checked all the connections, nothing touching the body, the speaker connections in the back are good and secure, i just wasnt able to check the front speakers, since i need to remove the glove compartment to get to them. the amp is grounded well, i even changed the ground wire. what could have blown in the deck?its working fine, except for the annoying noise. |

Well the noise could be sign that something gone. You may not see any physical damage to deck ground; try grounding the rca's to the deck. Get a piece speaker wire, split down the middle (half 4 -ive and half 4 +ive), solder or use the space in the metallic outer casing to hold it to the rca, then find a screw on the deck itself and connect the other end of the wire.
Try it and get back to us. |

also turn on the music and then pull out the rcas from the amp see if u still have the noise.
if a speaker wire from an amp gets diconnected and grounds off, that wont affect the deck. |

if a speaker wire from an amp gets diconnected and grounds off, that wont affect the deck. | You can blow the internal ground in the deck when doing this... be careful. |
