"Having seen the need to develop the sport of “motor car rallying”, a steening Committee held its first meeting in August 1979, which led to the first General Meeting of the Trinidad and Tobago Rally Club….Mr. John De Freitas was elected President with Mr. Robert De Verteuil as Secretary/ Treasurer."
