| In Barbados no one uses the GTi gearbox for rallying/circuit. they make up adapter plates and use the Opel Corsa gearbox. also, once you're using the Opel gearbox, you have endless possibilities with aftermarket gearsets! I'd like to try this conversion one day, but as for now, I've got a fully built gearbox on standby for the occasional failure, lol! |

this from puerto rico? there was a rumour bout this done in puerto rico years aback on teamswift.net
accent gearbox on a g13b, a good idea i guess if you looking for a box but cant get one.
i figured if your original box cant take the jamming, why waste your time putting on an accent box? as if an accent gearbox designed too take any sorta jamming/torque.....
the opel corsa is a good idea with gearsets available......if you doing the work to do a conversion, i was gonna get a mitsu 1.6, 1.8 or 2.0 fwd drive box, already lsd, accustomed to taking lots more torque n swap em in
or do it the "easy" way, theres a guy online that sells a complete gearset with lsd diff for bout 1500 usd if i remember correctly |
