over the years, the santa rosa carpark facility's surface has deteriorated. although i love the drifting and spin outs, i think we would need to look seriously at this surface. can we consider sweeping the course? i know these road paving companies have these motorized sweepers. probably one pass of this for the year might do the trick. comments?

so now i would only be able to jiff d front wheel drive cars on d public roads.
Sad d gravel is one of d conditions up there, yuh deal wid it.

when everything is "perfect", and the results are the same, what will be the problem then?

I think the lack of gravel would make things more competitive. We are acvtually starting to have gravel pits on the track, slowly encroaching. We are slowly forming courses around gravel areas. So severe gravel areas will more and more dictate the design of a course

The carting course usually seems pretty clean, I am sure not by accident or the carts "sweeping" the course during their runs. I am sure they actively clean their course.

Problem is in Dex, so few people are willing to help out the committee. If more volunteers come forward to help on the day, I am sure we could have the course of the day swept ourselves. It would contribute to a better overall driving experience IMO, regardless of whether the results remain the same or not.

the gravel was not a big help for me on the course in dex 4 (first dex)

will not be a problem in helping to sweep or assist in cleaning the course Wink

narend, u think a leaf blower is powerful enough?

a few yrs back we had someone with a huge stihl blower. but then we didnt have that much gravel on the course.

the idea of walking/sweeping the course seems both practical and inexpensive

You sound well trained in the art of sweeping on command.

believe it or not we try to have the corners swept. You may see a guy sometimes with a wheel barrow and a broom, his mane is mootoo. Karting sewwp their course before every event, the problem is we dont run the Karting course.

It would be nice to have people who want to help sweep, any help we can get is welcomed.
