Anyone here ever did the change on this item?? If yes and have experience in doing this change, please let me know..
I just bought all the parts to do the change myself, Timing chain kit and Sprocket kit.

Cost me $190US plus shipping and customs.. Lifestyle wanted over $10,000TT for everything.. NOT JOKING.. i was afraid to ask for a labour cost to do the change as they wanted $1500 just to change my valve cover gasket..
I'm looking to try this sometime next week when i'm off work, will document the process for the Vitara owners.. assuming i get through and not kill my engine in the process..  |

100k vitara service..... paid $9,800+ including labour
it's alot more than just the timing chain they change .......it's all seals, water pump, fuel pump and a few other things ....i will look for the bill and give u the run down when i get home. |

i got my price quote for just the parts needed to change the timing chain and water pump.. actual cost was $11,489.58
cost of the water pump is $1207
2 chains are $1308
adjusters $2004
guides, tensioner, sprockets, o rings, seals etc fill out the list.. |

a pardner of mines has this same problem with his GV and is tryin to source the chain etc. will pass on d link to him. |

| ^^ Thanks, i think he got tru last week. His mech did the change - only problem was sourcing parts. |
