i can only speak for my 2.0L 1999 model GrandV..
-engine is pretty powerful with strong low end torque with great reliability..
-decent off road potential, but really needs a few inches of lift for the more serious stuff..
-excellent on road handling! feels pretty sporty on the corners thanks to the large up front stabilizer..
faults
-the V6's will have some chain rattle
-the cam sensor on the 2.0L's isn't the most reliable
-lifestyle prices on spare parts
Of course, the newer models should be much better than mine.. and the latest ones come with rear disc brakes! |

We have two. No problems so far. The fuel consumption is high. The full-time 4WD contributes to this. Not to mention I have a heavy foot. The 2.0L (140hp) 4x2 is much faster, obviously.
It's sturdy, well appointed, and very nimble on hills. The cabin is comfortable with lots of leg/head room for the front and rear passengers. Six foot tall drivers shall be quite comfortable piloting the SGV. The 7.1 audio system is descent.
The 2009 models have additional features especially in the 2.4L (166hp) and the 3.2L (230hp) V6 beast. They still have a few 2.7L (185hp) V6 units. |

full time 4WD??! dey come like dat? we hav one, 2003 model. it has a range. we keep it on 2h all d time since it never really went off road.... as for gas, fuel consumption isnt dat bad, only if i decide to engage d A/T POWER. nice vehicle, i agree, very spacey and it really holds ground. |

badmanbopeep, I wish the 2G models had that option. If only the 4x2 had the same luxury features as the 4x4. The 4x2 is really fast compared and much better on gas too. |
