| Check the forums for a good used component set at the price you're looking at. Or check Exonic. |

good coaxials would have the passives built on i mean you would see them by the terminals
but i myself have been looking on the forums and it really looking like you go come out better price wise with components the good hi quality coaxials are expensive |

comps have more flexibility
coaxials usually only have 6db filters and the only coax i ever saw with a lpf for the mid built onto the unit is the alpine type r coaxes
there are passives that can masquerade as coaxes with the tweeter being able to screw onto the middle of the mid but
i would say buy a pr of comps ... ud get better crossover filtering as well as level adjustment and even tweeter protection on some models
fuzz have a bess deal there ... take it and run bostons are great |

At that price range you will be better of with a set of entry line comps.
I think richepooh has a set of boston SL comps for $800 (used), but at that price you can't go wrong
Even the entry line Boston's that Fuzz has will be well worth your while. |

| Comps for flexibility in installation. But once you install them okay, coaxials sound good too. |
