|
|
hey guys,
I really need to know if to flush the transmission oil or do a simple drain and refill?
I heard a flush can damage the transmission...especially if it is already deteriorating.
Please advise guys..
I have a 1.6i SR Vtec Civic (EK3 i believe)
Thanks |

| I have plans of flushing my transmission system this weekend. My engine is already down and the converter ( from what the mechanic said) can be accessed and drained/flushed. My transmission has no issues as yet but after 12 years of use it wouldn't be a bad thing to change the oil and start fresh. I hope I do not create new issues by this draining/flushing of the system. |

Are you saying that the oil's never been changed in all that time?
Also the best thing would be to get it to one of those places where they vacuum out the oil oil whilst feeding in the new oil. |
