| I have an EK3 CVT v-teck and the engine fan is not comin on. The temperate gauge reading at half although the radiator was overheating and throwing off steam. I filled up the radiator and let it ldle but the fan never came on and the gauge was always reading half. Can this be a thermostate problem? I would appreciate aany advice on what to do from here. |

possibly, had a similar problem and it turned out to be the thermostat. it was removed and so far i haven't had problems since.
check ur electrician. u cud by- pass d stat and run a wire straight to the fan but it means that ur fan would always be on, eventually the motor will burn out. u cud do this temporarily until d thermostat prob. is fixed. |

yes it could very well be a thermostat problem along with some others..
what you can do is remove the thermostat, boil some water in a pot to boiling point and submerge thermostat in water , leave it for a while see if it contracts, if it does its good,
next you can check yourself OR ask a qualified mechanic to check the thermo switch and the electrical fan fuse..
please be care full operating around a hot radiator (NEVER OPEN when HOT )
hope this was useful.. |

fan switch may need replacing.
find the harness going to the fan switch, bridge connectors to ensure fan is indeed operational.
You can leave the fan direct until you get a replacement fan switch. |
