does any one know the size and number of ligths the gauge cluster uses. im thinking about changing mine to blue to match my deck cuz i like how my firends iggy looks. its the one without the rpm gauge just the speedo it that makes a difference. is it simple and can i do it or does it need some one experienced and advice on who to go by if i cant do it myself?
thanks in advance |

Depending on the cluster new bulbs will have limited eefect... your best bet is a custom LED install
It takes more time and is more expensive but its totally worth it
BTW what is the colour of your numbers in the cluster? |

this was pressure. there where two bulbs of different sizes. only one size (bigger one) i got the led for and the other one there wasnt any led for it nor was there a regular blue bulb. the led here a lot of trouble as most did not work and i had to keep going back to replace them.
now only one bulb is blue and the other is normal and the blue hardly shows. but the electrician said led wld show up in the nigth so ill wait to see wat difference it makes and will go shopping for the other bulb or bulbs tom.
this makes me think if buying the ligth was worth it or if i should of bougth a new cluster with white background and a tach. im not sure if it would work seeing that by cluster does not have the tach. will the cluster wit the tach work by just plug n play with the connection i have in the car already? |

Ok
Sorry man... this was my fault... the LED intsall I was talking about was not what you did, it involves taking apart the cluster completely and placing an entire string of leds behind the numbers... I can do this if you really need
I have already done it with my amber cluster and it looks sweet
LEDs only light if the a placed in at the correct polarity, they only allow current to flow one way... if they don't light switch them around |

hmmmmm went searching for hrs yesterday in arima with no luck and den today in tunapuna and valpark. found the bulbs but its 95 for one and i need 4. that ridiculous for ligths .5cm in size. thats $360 plus the $30 for the first bigger bulb. with that plus a lil more im sure i cld get a entire after market cluster with tach and white background.
i think it makes no sense now |
