Looking for two door speakers and two rear dash speakers that will fit in the STOCK locations of this car. I not familiar with civics and haven't got to see the car yet. BRAND NEW CAR SPEAKERS ONLY: can be co-ax or 3-way door speakers and 3-way rear speakers. All speakers must be 4-ohm

well, the stock speakers are pioneer. That's what i put in my civic.
But honestly, the plastic mesh covering the front speakers can be 'popped' out extremely easily. And it's only 3 screws holding the speaker in place. Easy to come out and easy to go back in.
Really, any 6" speaker is supposed to fit. |

easy like wow....
what i did was...
First, unscrew the speaker (3 screws), Cut the stock plug from behind it (leave about 2" in case you want to change back to the original in future)
Make sure you know which wire is +ve and -ve.
join the wires you got with the new speakers, onto the stock wiring and onto the new speaker, and bam, yuh done. screw back in the speaker and put back on the cover.
------------
For the back, you need to pop off the back-dash.
Go in the trunk, locate the white plugs in the frame, push them up while squeezing them.
The dash should be kinda loose by now.
Fold down the rear seats to get better access to it. Pull the dash out.
Then using a short screwdriver(when i say short, I mean like 2 inches short), repeat the wiring process for the back speakers, same as the front. |
