Apart from a knocking sound when goin over humps, wat r d other signs of a damaged shock mount?

the knocking will be more of a rattle and you may see the rubber on top busted....

true it really feels like a rattle. Also, wen the car reaches a certain RPM and i acelerate again it jerk forward. Wuz da one!!!

but on a serious note the shock could be slack

is the front one right?

open the bonnet and push down on the front of the car and
see if the top of the shock moving
