Recently my D15B (dual carb) engine has been sputtering and smoking pretty badly when it now starts either for the 1st time for the day or after a period of non-use, (usually 2 hours). Once it starts moving it revs pretty low and sometimes eventually stalls. However once it gets up to temperature it runs fine, no problem at all.
Any suggestions as to what could be causing this?
Thanks. |

Clean out the carbs. If you wanna diy no need to go really deep. Behind the engine there's the 2 short cylinders with 4 screws holding down each. take them off and go to town with gum solve and a toothbrush. There's a sort of pin with a spring, take that out too and remember how to put it back in. I had the same problem with my dual carb and that fixed it. Then I got water in my tank and it died |

Just a little add on to clear the air on something.
I do have a muffler attached as well. No effect or probable cause to my current problem right? |
