no, no K & N
i think it was due to the use of super and the fact that the gas levels does be very very low like on that occasion
anyways
so i get a call from the wife, she say the service plus the diagnostic check come up to $840.00 and something wrong with the "trouble body" (i guessing they gonna service the throttle body like we were discussing here) and will bill seperately for that, will let you know what the 2nd invoice states when i get it |

well i waiting on my lancer to license, and should be in to do my 1st service in about 2-3 weeks (av 90km per day)
questions:
1. do you agree with the hard break-in of the car
2. should I buy my own oil and filter and take it when servicing....would it be cheaper?
got the fully loaded 1.5 w/o sun-roof |

wow! 80,000km, you guys rel running miles. im Sept 2007 PCE with 34,000km, fighting to rack up mileage.
what i can tell u is @ 40,000km, they would have done a TB service as scheduled. so it's possible at 80,000km another is probably due.
i want to link with SHO this weekend maybe to do the TB clean out. i think particularly as im using the K&N, the TB will probably get dirty a bit faster as i do mainly inner city driving runs and not enough long distances to ensure minimal build up on the TB sensor. |

Congratulations on a Good buy,
I had one without sunroof... eventually sold it and bought one with sunroof lol
as for question 1. The engine easy to break in man... just run it hard
as for question 2... You have the choice of synthetic oil and conventional oil... I don't think you can bring your own oil and filter..
I did my first 1000Km service 3 weeks after I got mine...
In my first CY I used synthetic oil and serviced every 10000KM
I'm trying conventional oil now and servicing every 5000Km eventually I may switch to synthetic oil...
The conventional oil is cheaper.. your first service should cost you around $700.00
Mitsu_Exec 2months with my 2nd CY and i'm at 5300+ Km lolz

^^ OK WHAT YOU EXPERIENCE MANY FELLAS EXPERIENCE IT BEFRE IN SINGAPORE HW LONG WERE YOU PARKED? (SORRYabout the caps)
or it could just be as simple as cleaning out the trottle boody and TPS and after 80K Km you should do it .
the semi syn (in the blue bottle is every 5K km the grey bottle full syn is every 10K km i think diamond charges $65 a qt fr the full syn)
ok i am currently in miami (with a big smile on my face as i was allowed to buy some gifts for the 08 including the rear sway bar and i even got a 20% discount)
took some pics of the 09 ralliart lancer will post them up on my return . |
